Dr Nicholas Cuddihy

Dr Nicholas Cuddihy rejoins Curam this Spring as an Associate bringing with him a wealth of experience and a portfolio of critical skills developed in a variety of different settings. His extensive experience in school leadership, strategic planning, trust leadership, and governance makes him a valuable member of the Curam team.

Nicky leads by example and with authenticity having worked as a teacher, a middle leader, a school principal, a mentor and coach and in his most recent roles as a Chief Executive. Nicky’s approach to leadership is centred on empowering others, ensuring that school leaders can identify and nurture talent while working towards a unified vision for growth and improvement. In his many and diverse roles, he has succeeded by bringing out the best in those around him. He understands how important it is for school leaders to grow leadership capacity. He has helped many school leaders to troubleshoot and navigate through challenges working with them to establish a positive and affirming leadership culture in their schools.

Nicky is an experienced Strategist who has worked with many school communities to define and unite around a common vision for growth and improvement. He knows how to make vision reality. He can help school Boards, school leaders and staff to plan and deliver whole school improvement to meet their ambitions.

He has worked as a mentor and coach to many school leaders helping them to develop their own leadership skills in areas like strategic planning, conflict resolution, team building and team leadership, leading highly effective meetings and managing challenging and difficult conversations.
